The Castleton Electric Fireplace Suite is a stylish, modern freestanding electric fire and surround made from off-white MDF. It’s designed to bring warmth and elegance to any home.
The unit features a moulded log-effect fuel bed with realistic flame effects, making it the perfect choice for a lounge electric fire.
The mantel also includes colourful LED mood lighting with adjustable brightness settings to suit your mood and décor.
Thanks to advanced LED technology, this electric fire and surround is low-cost to run.
Using the flame and lighting effects for five hours per day costs less than £4 per year.
The fireplace comes with a digital LCD remote control featuring a seven-day programmer and built-in thermostat.
It includes room-temperature sensing, open-window detection, and adaptive-start control that warms your room automatically for the programmed time.
The heater switches between 1 kW and 2 kW depending on your room temperature.
You can enjoy the realistic flame effect with or without heat all year round.
If you prefer, you can also order the Castleton inset fire separately to fit into your own fireplace surround.

I decided to order this fireplace based on the many positive reviews and I am not disappointed. The fire arrived promptly and was easy to assemble. Like other customers have reported a couple of areas did not have the expected pre drilled holes but this did not cause too much of an issue. The flame effect is excellent and the mood lighting is a lovely additional feature. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this fireplace. Great Customer Service . I managed to build the fire surround on my own , reasonably easy and fits together beautifully . Fire unit was damaged in transit but a replacement was dispatched the same working day .

We were looking for a fireplace just to add a cosy focal point, but couldn’t justify paying the prices we’d seen. We kept coming back to the Castleton model but was worried in case it arrived and was nothing like the photos. We contacted Endeavour and spoke to a very friendly and helpful lady who said that if we found it was different to what we expected or, it didn’t suit the room, we could return it. We ordered it and it came the next day. I was worried after seeing a boot mark on the package and a tear in the box, but as we opened it up, it was excellently packed and was safe and sound. It only took about an hour to put together and when it was all in place and set up, we were delighted with it. I agree with others that the photos don’t do it justice. A great fire, great price, great service.

A great-looking fireplace, with silent lighting effects, able to control the fire effect, surround lights, and heating all completely independently. Functionality-wise, this is 5*, no doubt. The delivery is really fast too (for Mainland UK)! Another bonus is that it’s pure white, not yellowed or cream-coloured at all!
My only gripe with this fireplace is that it’s a little fiddly to assemble; all in all, it took probably about 1 hour in total for me to build, and the instructions were really clear (and it’s great that it’s shipped with a couple of spare bits too, just in case), but despite that, there are some parts which don’t sit completely flush together. I’m certain it all could sit together perfectly given enough time and patience when adjusting the fixings etc.
This is supplied with a simple small wall bracket which would be visible from the outside, but in all honesty it’s not really needed as it’s very stable when stood on our carpet, and I would imagine it would be even more stable on laminate or wood flooring.
Overall, this is a very attractive fireplace with 5* functionality. Delivery is fast, colour is crisp white, but take your time when assembling (to line up pieces properly) and read the instructions carefully.

I love our new castleton fire suite. It has a vibrant dancing flame just like the real thing. You feel warm and relaxed just looking at it. We bought it to replace an old gas fire when we got our new boiler in. As we have radiators it is mainly for display and make the room more homely. I have no regrets as this fire does that perfectly. It took my son about an hour to build with no problems. Everyone has admired it. Very pleased with this purchase.

The fire is simple to put together, it took me about an hour.
The finished product looks incredibly classy. The images don’t do it justice, especially the flame effect! The heating can be thermostatically controlled and also timer controlled if required.

I have already submitted another review about out Castleton electric fire suite, but I meant to mention the ease of ordering and very fast delivery. I ordered our fire on a Tuesday evening and it arrived on the Thursday afternoon. I was kept informed about the status of the delivery and was able to track it online, which was helpful. The suite comes in two separate boxes, the fire in one and the flat-packed surround in the other. It was all very well and securely packed. The assembly instructions were pretty easy to follow.

We’re very happy with our new Castleton fireplace suite. We bought it to replace a gas fire we’ve had taken out because of the draughts when it wasn’t being used. It was fairly easy to put together and is very sturdy. It looks better than many of the much more expensive ones we’ve looked at in town. I can see why there are so many great reviews as this is a lovely fire. The flame effect is very good and I’ve seen much more expensive ones that look less authentic. We love that we can have the flame effect and the mood light on without the heat being on. It makes the room feel very cosy and we can choose which colour to have on, or let it cycle through all the colours. When the heat is switched on, we can feel it straight away, but there’s hardly any noise. So, all in all, we are delighted with our new fire.

Ordered this fire based on the many excellent reviews wondering if it could really be that good and I’m pleased to say I am another delighted owner. The thing that has really surprised me is the finish on the MDF surround it’s so smooth it’s almost as if it’s made of plaster and extremely effective, once made up it’s also very solid. Many have commented on how realistic the flame effect is and you couldn’t really wish for more from an electric fire, it looks a little underwhelming when switched off but that’s only to be expected. The fan is very quiet and the heat output good enough for some supplementary heat. Even the remote control is a quality piece of kit and effectively controls all the fires functions, so I can recommend this fire without hesitation and would definitely buy another.

The pictures people put up don’t do it justice as the fire when you have it built and set up is amazing and the glow is amazing as that is one point I love about my fire and the fact that you can change the mood lighting around the fire is another 5 star.
There are 3 setting on the glow of the fire and the 3rd is very bright it’s like having a real fire in your house. The fire does come in pieces but very easy to build with instructions.
I would say if you want a fire that looks real but can’t then this is the fire for you, as I think this is the best fire on the market and all the reviews do help.
