What a fantastic company. Emailed them to ask a question and got a reply very quickly. We read all the glowing reviews and thought let’s go for it. We bought a refurb Danby fireplace and it is as good as new. I can honestly not find anything wrong with it. We set it up in no time at all and switched it on. We was amazed and gobsmacked, It looks so much more expensive than the price suggests. We’ve looked all over at different ones and some cost upto £1000 and this looked even better than them. Don’t let the price make you think your going to be getting a cheap looking fireplace because it just isn’t. Just need to finish decorating the room so we can put it in there and enjoy it.

Ordered, arrived two days later, good for the other end of the UK. Slight damage on the boxes, three slits on the lid of the fireplace box, bit concerned how deep they would go. they did reach the first layer of polystyrene but not through them. So for the manufacturers the packaging worked. Like most it took about an hour to assemble. A tip is to not secure the screws thourgherly until fully assembled. Some of the holes are not true, so need a little bit of flex, once assembled then tighten. The various gaps pointed out on other reviews are present, but not too much of an issue. No blemishes on the paintwork that has been mentioned by others. Fire works, the flame effect is pretty good, for a more realistic effect (projected LED) the cost rises into the thousands. So a good compromise. Flame control is ok, different colours and brightnes, although flame height is fixed. The backlight of the logs and embers is constant not variable.
Overall I am happy with the purchase. It replaces a gas fire which was too hot when on, and then tried to gas us when the fan failed. So electric was the way to go.

You can adjust both of these using the remote control by using the plus/minus arrows after selecting which you want to adjust, flames/fuel bed.

Ordered bank holiday Monday, delivered Wednesday, installed Thursday, fell in love with it instantly. We bought this more as a feature than a main heat source as we have central heating and it is exactly what we wanted. It is silent when in flame and mood modes and only makes any noise when heating. The glass does not get hot so the dog and grandkids are safe. Was not really too keen on getting a fire with mood lighting but now it’s here I love it and it can be turned off. Do not be put off by the fact the surround is mdf, it is very very good quality mdf and a lovely true white.
