The Castleton Inset Electric Fire is now available to purchase as a separate unit, without our accompanying MDF mantel. It is suitable for installing into a mantel piece or inset space (with adequate ventilation).
The inset electric fire has a moulded log bed with realistic flame effect options. We can also provide a 13-colour LED mood lighting connection on request. Due to the LED technology, the fireplace is low cost to run when using the flame and lighting effects – less than £4 per year if used for 5 hours per day.
This electric fire unit comes with a digital LCD display remote control which includes:
- seven-day programmer
- thermostat with display
- room temperature sensor
- open window detection
- adaptive start control – turns on the heater to warm the room ready for the programmed start time.
The heater will automatically switch between 1 and 2kW depending on the room temperature and set temperature required and can be used with or without the LED lighting.

To meet the requirements of Eco Design 2018 (Lot 20), this product is designed and manufactured to produce the optimum energy efficiency available for space heaters.

Prompt delivery and straightforward to fit. Looks good on or off. Slight downside is the 3 levels of ‘flame effect’ (not brightness) are so small as to be almost undetectable.
