The Roxby Black Electric Fire is a modern inset electric fire designed to fit easily into existing fireplace surrounds. The coal bed effect and realistic flames create a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for cosy evenings at home.
Whether you prefer a subtle glow or something brighter, you can adjust the brightness to suit your mood and preferences. The heater automatically adjusts between 1kW and 2kW based on the room temperature and set temperature required. Plus, you have the flexibility to use the heater with or without the LED lighting, giving you full control over your comfort.
With a sleek black frame and matching canopy, trim and fret, this inset electric fire radiates style and sophistication. Roxby is also available in brass and chrome finishes, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your decor and personal taste.
For added convenience and comfort, this black inset electric fire comes equipped with a digital LCD display remote control. This remote offers a range of features including:

- Open window detection
- Adaptive start control

SPACERS are available to reduce the rebate depth.
- Full-depth spacer: the FULL spacer kit fits to the front frame of the Roxby fire allowing the fire unit to fit flush against a fireplace surround/wall or to stand in front of a recess. The spacer turns your inset fire into a freestanding fire.
- Half-depth spacer: the HALF spacer kit that fits to the front frame of the Roxby fire is suitable for making the Roxby fit into mantles or recesses with a depth of 75mm or more. The half-spacer reduces the overall depth of the inset by 35mm.
To meet the requirements of Eco Design 2018 (Lot 20), this product is designed and manufactured to produce the optimum energy efficiency available for space heaters.

I’ve just unpacked the fire and I looks pretty good except I had ( wrongly) assumed that it had a glass front. It’s difficult to tell from the images and the ‘ coal bed ‘ is open with an acrylic back screen. The flame effects are pretty good but I haven’t tried the heating yet. The programmer looks pretty scary so I’ll just work on a need to know basis for now. All in all a good buy for the price

Really nice looking fireplace and the remote control works well although a little confusing. Will need to read the instructions properly. It gives off good warmth and heats a medium room in a matter of minutes. It is a little noisy though and the flame effect looks very artificial. I love the brass colour though and the fake stones look nice. The cable is a little short but works fine for me. Highly recommend and also came quote quickly and well packed.

Pleased with the fire, a couple of points for future buyers. This is not a truly inset as the electric cable prevents fire from sitting flush (design fault) I did know this from reading other reviews, shame not addressed by manufacture.
After speaking to a very helpful lady at Endevour I ordered a 35mm spacer cut a small section out which allowed me to the pull cable though and fire to fit flush. One serious niggle the cable is only 1.5 mt long not 1.7 as listed. This
ment it fell short of where my socket is rather annoying. Also the self tapping screws do not easily fit, to tighten you will need pliers to ensure to get the right fit. This is manufacturing faults, NOT Endevours, I found them very helpful.

The flame effect is 100% better than the Dimplex Dainsbury electric fire it has replaced.
Service from Endeavour was first class…from Katie the telephone contact who has worked for them for 8 years so she answered my questions no problem.
I ordered at 12.30pm on a Monday and it was delivered next day at 10.15am from Yorkshire to the West Midlands by APC.

I bought this Roxby fire just over a year ago for our main large living room which has a 14 foot ceiling 2 large windows and a hallway door leading to an outside door plus an internal door. The well built Victorian house is lovely to look at from the outside but in cold weather it is damp, cold and miserable inside. Although the room has a large double radiator all the heat it produced went to the ceiling. Now a year later we really appreciate how the room has become usable in chilly weather because of this electric fire. Set at 69f on the remote this room is comfortable and a pleasure to hang out in. I often say to the wife, I don’t know how we lived without it. Install was easy and in a year we have had no problems with it. I would totally recommend it to anyone.

We bought this fire from an online store ( should of checked for this website) we were replacing an old insert gas fire. Delivery was super quick and very easy to fit, just plugged it in. The fire heater is a little noisy but we expected some noise, it is a fan heater after all. It looks great & it warms the room up very quickly. Love the fact it is remote controlled, no bending down, the temperature control is fabulous & saves energy once it hits your desired temperature, it turns off, but kicks back in when the temperature drops. Really happy with the quality & value

I bought this fire as a second and I am thrilled as the minor scratches are not visible at all. I like the fact that it is remote controlled and that I can change the settings of the fire’s brightness. I had an existing Abbey fireplace surround and had difficulty working out how to insert this one and the spacer and I have to say the ladies at Endeavour Home were total angels and did their best to ensure I got it sorted out. They really put customer satisfaction at the heart of what they are doing which is pretty rare these days.
It is a really beautiful fire and I am very happy with my purchase of the insert and the black spacer trim.

Great value Roxby electric fire from Endeavour Fires. Ordered on Thursday evening and arrived on Monday morning. Good looking fire and easy to install. We chose this one after reviewing all the positive feedback. Too early to report on reliability as only just purchased. Great to get a remote control to set your heating preferences. On first use, fan seems a little noisy and the remote control instructions aren’t that easy to follow but all fine if you take your time. Good purchase and makes room warm and inviting. The dog likes it which is a good benchmark ! Note it’s cheaper to purchase direct than through other online distributors.
